Uganda Premier League
SC Villa vs Bright Stars FC
Mandela National stadium
Wednesday, 6th February 2019
Sports Club Villa have been shoddy since the start of the league and their dismal performance is depicted on the position they hold on the log.
The league record champions are 13th on 14 points just two above the drop zone and find themselves embroiled in the relegation fight.
The Jogoos well aware of their position on the table will go into the game against Bright Stars FC this Wednesday with a target of winning.
Douglas Bamweyana the head coach at SC Villa is optimistic his team will improve and results will eventually start coming.
” We try to improve every other day and making sure we become a better unit. I believe we shall start getting the results we want.” He said.
Whereas the improvement is gradual, the concern for many will be whether the ever demanding SC Villa fans will be patient with Bamweyana when the results don’t come.
Bright Stars FC on the other hand have equally struggled in their previous games failing to win in the last seven league matches.
The Kawempe based side who have a poor record against SC Villa will hope they can bounce back to winning ways today.
The first leg meeting between the two teams ended in a barren stalemated.
