Tooro United FC 1-1 Vipers SC
Buhinga stadium, Fort Portal

Vipers SC title run suffered another set back after playing out a one all draw against Tooro United in the game played on Tuesday at Buhinga stadium in Fort Portal.

The Venoms who came into the game on the back of a 3-1 loss to SC Villa could only settle for a draw against Tooro who have made Buhinga a fortress. They are yet to lose a game since relocating there at the start of the season.

Tooro United FC took the lead through Godfrey Lwesibawa but Vipers SC equalised through skipper of the day Hamis ‘Diego’ Kiiza with both goals coming in the first half.

Vipers SC made several changes from the team that played against Villa including handing youngster Aziz Kayondo his first appearance for the senior team.

Kayondo promoted from the junior ranks played at left back position ahead of Yayo Lutimba who didn’t make the trip.

With captain Taddeo Lwanga suspended, Ibrahim Tembo made his first league appearance as the holding midfielder with Rahmat Ssenfuka and Tom Masiko playing in front of him.

Ibrahim Kiyemba returned from suspension and played ahead of Burundian import Karim Ninzigiyimana.

Lwesibawa scored from a fee kick in the 16th minute but the visitors rallied back through Kiiza when he headed home in the 37th minute. This was his first goal for Vipers SC.

Vipers SC remained second on 38 points, three behind KCCA FC who play BUL FC tomorrow while Tooro United FC remained 6th on 28 points.
